Public notice: Proposed boundary changes between Kawerau District and Whakatane District
In October 2022 the Local Government Commission adopted a process, under clause 7, Schedule 3 of the Local Government Act 2022, for investigating proposed changes to the boundary between Kawerau District and Whakatane District.
On 23 March 2023 the Commission amended its investigation process to incorporate additional engagement and alter the investigation timeline. The amended investigation process document is available on the Commission’s website.
